Join Our Wellbeing Advocate Network!
Do you care about the health and wellbeing of your colleagues? If so, we’d love you to become a Wellbeing Advocate at Mersey Care!
Our Wellbeing Advocates are a growing network of colleagues who champion staff wellbeing across the Trust. They help spread the word about wellbeing initiatives, share updates, promote events, and signpost teammates to the fantastic support available through our Staff Wellbeing Hub.
This network is supported by Occupational Health and Wellbeing, and Advocates receive regular updates and resources to share with their teams.
Who can be a Wellbeing Advocate?
Anyone!
The role is open to all Mersey Care colleagues, regardless of position or band. It’s a voluntary responsibility alongside your day-to-day role, so you’ll need capacity and support from your line manager. Please note: this is not a full-time or paid role.
What does a Wellbeing Advocate do?
As an Advocate, you’ll:
- Share wellbeing updates from the Wellbeing Hub promptly with your team.
- Promote events and campaigns by displaying and sharing information in your work area.
- Lead by example – encourage healthy habits like taking breaks, staying hydrated, and being active.
- Embed wellbeing into team meetings in a meaningful way.
- Listen and support colleagues with empathy, and signpost them to the right services.
What a Wellbeing Advocate is NOT
You’re not expected to give advice or deliver wellbeing sessions. Your role is to promote, encourage, listen, and signpost colleagues to the support available.
Ready to make a difference?
If you’re passionate about creating a positive, healthy workplace, becoming a Wellbeing Advocate is a great way to inspire and support your team.
